The Nursery is the first stage of the of education for children aged 2 years old. The next phase is the Pre-school for children aged 3 and 4 years old. Sessions are led by highly qualified and experienced staff. We have a lovely light and airy space, with plenty of room for all our children. The children have access to a secure outdoor area with excellent resources. Wee also utilise school facilities such as the school hall and the Library.

The Nursery and Reception class children work closely together with a wonderful outdoor space which the children are able to access on a daily basis.

The Nursery staff are able to prepare the children well for the transition into school and as a result, the children make a flying start to school.

Mrs Carne our HLTA is the Nursery Lead and she works closely with the EYFS Lead Mrs Edmonds

The experienced teaching assistants who support are Mrs Warn, Miss Phipps and Mrs Harrison.

Our curriculum

We plan a wide range of opportunities for children to learn through fun, hands on experiences in both adult led and child initiated activities. We use Development matters to guide the planning of our activities. We focus on three prime areas, which are made up: Personal, Social & Emotional Development; Communication and Language and Physical Development.

Children will be given opportunities to learn at their own level and we often follow the children's interests to help us plan fun and exciting activities. We love the outdoors and always plan activities that involve the environment around us. We also have a designated 'Forest School' session which children will have the opportunity every week.
